About Us
Mission Statement: At Big Gumdrop Outdoors, our mission is to 'Educate underserved youth about nature and inspire them to explore the great outdoors'. We inspire and educate youth by immersing them in nature, fostering a love for the environment, and introducing them to careers in natural resources.
Brief Description: We connect through the youth and families in our community through afterschool clubs, summer programming, and free monthly community events. Our comprehensive programs cover a wide array of activities such as fishing, hiking, plant identification, animal identification, shelter building, and cooking with fire. We aim to empower youth by providing hands-on experiences that connect them with nature and cultivate skills for life.

The American Bison, also know as a buffalo, is know for resilience, perseverance and grit. When others run away from the storm or hunker down, the bison faces it head on and marches through the night. A singular bison could make the trek alone, however strength in numbers shines as a testament to this species. As a herd, bison stride across the landscape negating obstacles that may stand in their way.
